About Us

Farm & Co Restaurant opened its family-friendly gates in the lush Tweed Valley in September 2022. The unique, farm-to-plate dining destination is located on a picturesque, family-owned, 52-acre, organic farm in Cudgen.

Just 30 minutes from the Gold Coast and 90 minutes from South Brisbane, Cudgen, or Goodjing, is a Bundjalung word meaning red, a nod to the rich red volcanic soils of the Cudgen Plateau. The restaurant overlooks paddocks, sunflower fields, avocado groves, and a majestic macadamia orchard.

The farm supplies eggs, potatoes, cauliflowers, salad greens, avocadoes, macadamia nuts, citrus fruit, kaffir limes and leaves, herbs, curry leaves, sunflower seeds, and honey, amongst other things.

Any variance in farm supply is supplemented by local producers, including Tropical Fruit World, Tweed Growers (vegetables and herbs), and Buck’s Farm (citrus, yuzu, cumquats). Meat is supplied by Tweed Coast Butchers in nearby Cabarita, and seafood is from Northern Rivers Seafood.

Banquet-style dining, a Sunday brunch menu, picnic boxes, and a weekly coal-fire BBQ menu showcase a collection of beautifully curated dishes of seasonal produce and rustic simplicity. About 80% of the menu is dairy-free and gluten-free. Vegans and vegetarians are well-catered for.

Bread, jams, aromatic oils, and pickles are all house-made. Daily supplies of mandarins, oranges and other citrus and herbs infuse syrups for sodas which are carbonated and batched in-house. An extensive wine list features small-batch, sustainable, minimal intervention wines, with selections from Australia, New Zealand and further afield.

Veggie scraps fuel the worm farm and help feed the farm’s chickens and rescue pigs, Hank and Pepe.

Guests can soak up the farm views while dining, or purchase a farm pass and venture into the paddocks to pick sunflowers, collect macadamia nuts and visit the beloved rescue pigs.

The family-friendly destination hosts a Day on the Lawn on the last Sunday of the month, which is a huge drawcard for locals and Gold Coast/Brisbane drive-and-dine visitors. Guests can take rugs onto the grass and indulge in a BBQ lunch, or delightful house-filled picnic boxes. There are lawn games and the children play, as parents relax against the backdrop of sprawling pastures and acoustic tunes or DJs.

The idyllic setting is perfect for Farm & Co Weddings, which feature beautiful farm-to-plate menus, a dreamy sunflower field backdrop for photos, and indulgent long lunch receptions.

Farm owners Michele and Ian run the popular farm-gate store and café.

Farm & Co acknowledge and pay respect to the Bundjalung people, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work.
